Default petrochromis bulu

purchased 20 1"+ Bulu fry from California. Arrived ok after about week or less they started to die. I now have 5 left. No idea as to the cause. I have had other fish in this tank with no problems and have also raised fry in the same tank with no problems. water tested good, filter clean. Any ideas???? thanks

Are they showing any physical symptoms? Protruding eyes, swollen abdomens, lesions, fungus, any abnormalities in appearance?

Have they been eating?

Have they died off one by one or was it all at once?

What do they do before they die off? Are you feeding them the same food that the breeder was feeding them? And are you feeding them to much?

Also try to pay attention to see if they end up gasping for air at the bottom of the tank or at the surface... If so, then they most likely have a bacterial gill infection. You'll need to clean your filtration, substrate and lower the temp in the tank to 75* (allows for more dissolved O2) and increase aeration in the tank. Then treat them with Triple Sulfa. Use Kordon Fish protector as well as it has polymers that will help the meds to stick to the body and membranes to be absorbed better and act faster on the rest of the group.
