After a couple of days they are still being super picky. There are a couple that are basically wasting away because I won't feed them Krill every day. Stomachs sunken in and bodies are thin.

They attack the krill though. I put about 2.5-3" diameter piece of San Fransisco Bay frozen krill (thawed) into a 1cup mixture of repashy super green mix and froze some of it into 3/8" squares and left the rest refrigerated. I've tried feeding both to them and they just don't want to much to do with it. So I will try it for another few days. If not luck. Back to feeding them krill...

I remember I had a petro that refused to eat anything for weeks. I had some algae in the tank it may have picked at from time to time, but its stomach continued to shrink. I'm not sure if its survival instinct kicked in or whatever bug it had passed, but it started eating the pellets I was feeding and eventually put on weight. Good luck!

Thanks Jim,

Yeah, not going to mix it up anymore. I'm sticking to the repashy with krill in it and let them get used to it for now. Just sucks that they came like this. I cold understand one or two fish, but 7 out of 11?

They eat krill so they will eat and want to, they are just being picky, with large petros you will see this pickiness sometimes. They can handle the krill, get them fat on that and then try to make them eat other foods. Brine shrimp too. The key is they are eating, large petros are one of the worst fro finding exactly what they want. If they wont eat that's a whole different story. Add a rock with algae and they will probably destroy it.

So I just have one male that is still being picky. The rest I have eating at least one kind of pellet along with the krill... So I'm almost there with these guys.

It's up....

Caught them in the Act today. New yesterday that it was going to be soon when I saw the Females vent dropped.

Interestingly enough, when I originally posted that the two large males were fat pigs... One fo them was this female!

Enjoy! Praying she holds full term...
