LOL, too funny, I guess they all are from what I have read. But I do want to take the challenge into the Petro world. I am now more confused than ever, lol. I will press on with the research.

The Famula Orange Fin Kigoma look really nice to me.

My tank boss is a 5" wc famula sangala and he is in with 8" polys. Nice fish but i think they may be too much for moshi.

I live in Eastbourne - the sunniest place in Britain. That isn't really saying much...
Coffee please - black and strong in pint mugs, for best results at least 6 a day.

Anyone know how big Moshi will grow to in inches? Would 25 be a good number in a 150g with say 8m/17fm?

Plan on 12"+ eventually. My longola aren't even 3 years old and they're pushing a foot

Numbers may be a bit much in a 150, depending on footprint, at least when FULL grown. But should be fine for a while depending on what size they come in at. Only reason I say that is cause I have 18 large longola ina 180 and it's pretty tight

My guess is 4"-6" max to start in the tank. Maybe 20 would be a good salting point, so if they come in the sizes mentioned above, I suppose I could thin out the colony over time. But I do see what you mean, ecentually 25 foot long Moshi would be very tight. Hey, I can always get a bigger tank down the road, lol.

Are you saying you have had Longola for 3 years and they are 12", or are they f1 and you know the approx age of them is 3 years?

I've owned them since they were 1" and are now almost 1 ft.

Not every single one of them, but the largest males I'm talking about here...

Wow, that is some good growth in 3 years! Good food and clean water I am sure. Very nice!

Check with Turon and Alison, or our other site sponsors. I know Turon has a large order coming in and he has great prices

15-20 is a good start for moshis (wished I started with high numbers myself). Also hv a hospital tank ready, just good practice for recovery or fry tanks down the road. Keep in mind once fish leave the tank it will be hard to reintroduce back.
