Paparkroket sorry your thread was derailed, I cleaned it up some. Guys you all dont have to agree, but you do have to keep it civil. There will be no back and forth here, no name calling, no drama, just fish.

Not at all. You were in the right by addressing it. I was in the wrong for allowing it. No hard feelings and lets move forward for sure.

Nice tank and nice petros. I think the only thing I would change is the amount of rocks in the tank. Since there is not real separation the alpha might eventually claim the whole tank for himself. Also, that many rocks creates a lot of waste buildup. I now just have a few larger rocks towards the ends of the tank. This allows for good swimming area and the alpha to claim a rock. I have gone to much simpler aquascaping now.

BTW river rocks like you have are great. I used to have sharper rocks. Caused some cut on the Bulus. River rocks solved the problem.

I started with less stones...much agression and the alfa man (Bulu) killed the beta man...

But...i really love less stones! But for the fish...this seems to work, and stones in, out...is not a good thing for stress.

If it works stick with. Mine group was just the opposite, more rocks more aggression.

Nice tank I would add more macros though they are the meanest petros I have ever kept the betta killed the alpha and didnt stop until I seperated them out and when the females started to drop their tubes he was 10x worse and I started with 15 of them a stunning fish though
