I realy would like to have less stones, do u think it is possible to remove some stones in the tank? One by one meanwhile the fish are in the tank.
I would like to end with 6-7 stones, zo the tank looks more open. But I needer want to give them stress without no reason, but if u think it is possible...I would take the risk. |

I don't think that it was cause stress per say. There's enough in there that they would probably would feel less cramped. BUt they are still young right? Most have reported very little worry of stress due to changing decor. I believe that the stress comes more from reclaiming territory after the decor change. But if you keep a few of the larger rocks inthe same spot, they might not see much of a change as long as they still have their "home base" rock in tact when all is said and done. |

I have about forty something Fish in my 125Gallon Tank. I have My Petrochromis Red Bulu Breeders , Tropheus Breeder's , Red Zebra Breeder's. I keep Shale Cave's, Clay Flower Pot, PVC Tubes. I do a water Change every week to week and a half. The Filtration I have pumps 1900 Gallon's an Hour. I have next to no Agression and Everyone is Breeding like crazy. I've been dealing with African Cichlids for almost 40Years. I use to own a Store with my parents years ago. I've been dealing with Petro's for almost 16 Year's now. I use to have a 10- 12 inch Petrochromis Texas which in my opinion is one of the Meanest Petro's. I Bred him about 4 Times with just one Female in Tank with little to no Agression towards Female due to my stocking of Tank and amount of Cave's. Thank You, Patrick Lombardo

Hello, Elcompadre- I have no problem what's so ever with Bloat keeping my Petrochromis and Tropheus Together. Just keep your Water very clean and don't overfeed. Petrochromis and Tropheus need very good Filtration. it's never a bad idea to overfiltrate there tanks. Thank You, Patrick Lombardo
