Default Petrochromis sp. Red (Bulu Point) + Petrochromis polyodon (Chinga)

Here are some recent photos of the largest male Bulu Point in my tank:

Chinga males are more photogenic and willing to pose:

Females are not that beautiful but still look pretty good:

And least but not last a shot I've been looking for for quite a long time - 180 degrees teeth and jaws:

I wouldn't call it unique but it's pretty rare to catch it in focus. Hope you like the photos!

Thanks, MrFlow!

I'm not a photographer. I'm pretty lame in shooting anything but my kids, my dog and my fish. Let's say I'm an advanced amateur specialized in shooting fish.

Nice shots. Watch the chinga as they grow as the males are murderous.

I live in Eastbourne - the sunniest place in Britain. That isn't really saying much...

I use Nikon d7000 with Micro Nikor 105mm f/2.8 VR lenses. Light comes from two external flahes. I still haven't decided to upgrade to d7100 but it might come soon.

You mean murderous literally? Are they showing this level of agression towards other species?

Yes for one of my males I have six in separate tanks. My male - out of desperation went in with a group of 8, 10" Vieja - I now have 6 Vieja and a psychotic male chinga in a new separate tank. The others arent quite so bad. He may just be a freak...

I live in Eastbourne - the sunniest place in Britain. That isn't really saying much...
