So is everyone in agreement that mine are sp. Orange Tails, not sp. Flametails?
I don't care either way, I got the fish for the way they looked and they are a beautiful fish. I just want to know so I can spread info of them correctly. Like I said, I'm not familiar with the orange tails.

There's very little info online about the Orange Tail save for an entry in the Cichlid Press publication almost 10, maybe more, years ago. Your efforts, along with Tim's, will be pioneering

I think they are. Very nice fish. I love the coloration for sure. My Alpha male actually changes colors from the time I turn on the lights in the morning and then turn them off to go to work, to the time I arrive home and turn the lights back on to the time I turn the lights off to go to bed. When it's breeding time that opens a whole another set of colors too. Quite the show IMO. I was wondering if you experience the same thing Stewart?

Same here. Always changing. They can show almost all yellow to a dark blue mask and bright orange tail. Feeding and breeding time he's at his best for sure.

It's 100% flametail. Dan Holtebo in Denmark pick up a nice colony which look exactly like yours.
Stunning Petros!
